The book is very well written telling the about the one year that Companies E & H were under the command of Capt. George Paccerelli. The first third of the book reads slowly as it tells about the disarray that Paccerelli finds Company E (the Lurps) and how he proceeds to improve the unit. The last 2/3 of the book describes more of the combat experiences. The book does bring itself nicely together to tell about the unit from a command perspective.
